One of Randolph Scott's first films where he had lead role. He plays a buffalo hunter during the time of the great buffalo hunts where they wiped out thousands of buffalo only for the hides leaving the meat to rot on the prairie. You'll see many familiar faces of early westerns. Very realistic compared to the more glamorous westerns of the 40's & 50's. One of the better higher budget films of the time, although in black & white of course. The lack of music soundtrack in those days meant actors and actresses had to be a little more dramatic to give emphasis where normally the music would provide it. A very decent western of the day.
