Environmentalism is one of the ten Humanist commitments challenging us to “take care of the Earth and the life on it.” Given the impacts of climate change, habitat loss, human land development and pollution generation, et. al. humanity can seem the aggressor against the environment rather than a protector of it.

Given this conundrum, Michael Hock, M.S., Preserve Manager of the Wildlands Conservancy, will present an in-depth overview of real conservation happening in the Lehigh Valley. His presentation will cover ongoing efforts, past successes, and future challenges of conservation by organizations and individuals of the Lehigh Valley.

Together we will draw inspiration and ideas on how to play a role in successful environmental advocacy in the region and as part of a planetary system of healthy ecosystems.
