"Just a closer walk with Thee,
Grant it, Jesus, is my plea,
Daily walking close to Thee,

There are times when most of us need encouragement, healing, restoring, a new beginning; when you and I need strength to overcome the depth of a broken heart, when we need an uplifting touch as life's circumstances feel overwhelming, when we need provision for abiding joy and purpose as all seems lost and life over, when the negative voices and happenings around us get the upper hand, and we begin to sense that defeat is imminent... or those dreadful, dark, cold, dire places where the miracle prayed for is seemingly not happening, leaving the heart and soul broken, feeling beyond repair...

When tragedy strikes and life is as hard as it gets, most often it leaves behind a devastating emptiness, a sense of impuissance, powerlessness, lassitude. The feeling of being downcast, troubled, discouraged, fearful and alone, coupled with memories from the past, often worsens the pain of loss...

It is in and through these very difficult times that you and I have the opportunity to get to know the faithfulness, love and care of the Lord, if we choose to listen, believe, trust and wait on Him...

What God says in His Word is true. Therefore, when we pray and believe, we will receive, and the enemy of our souls will not triumph over us. He is the God who restores things we have lost, through ignorance or foolish decisions; He gives us new heart, new mind, new hope, new life, a new future and the fullness of what He has in store for you and me. He makes us into everything He has destined and desires we to be. He can supply an abiding joy and the strength in our times of discouragement and lift the heavy spirit from you and me. He fills us with light, love, wisdom and with His divine purpose, even and especially when life's circumstances feel overwhelming.

Now is the time, like never before, to trust the Lord, for He has something more and greater for you than you can ever imagine or ask for, and He promises to be the source of our peace and true joy, giving strength that He alone is able to give us in our times of discouragement.

The Lord is faithful and He promised to go before you and me, to guide us on the path that leads to Him, ever loving, never leaving nor forsaking His children.


Be inspired, motivated and encouraged - and whatever your situation might be, let the Holy Spirit draw you ever closer to the Lord Jesus Christ.
