D.I.Y. DUCK COOP and PEN. PART ONE. Ep. 28

In this episode Angela and I take on the task of raising two Indian Runner Ducks. We start with building the duck coop and pen with as much recycled or free items as possible.

Neither of us have raised ducks in the past. Should be interesting!!!

Angela spent countless hours researching how to build a coop the pen and of course how to raise runner ducks. We are both animal lovers and are looking forward to this new adventure.

Angela found a garbage can shed for sale online and it was full steam ahead after that. I found a pile of free wood and pallets and from there we came up with a game plan.

On day one we focused on the fence build and making the coop safe and secure for the ducks. It was a fun road trip picking up our new family members....which you will see in the next episode!!!

Here is a breakdown of the build...
Coop - $100
Fence - free
Hardware cloth (chicken wire) - $70
Other Hardware (hinges, latches etc) $30
Pool - FREE!!!! - Thanks Mark and Wendy !!!
Straw and Wood shavings - $30
Duck feed - $30

AND OF COURSE THE DUCKS - $30

We don't know the gender of the ducks yet but when we do then we share the names we have chosen.
