Our trip to Ilocos Sur starts with a private plane ride to the city of Vigan. Many thanks to Manong Chavit Singson who’s the current mayor of Narvacan, I was able to bring my whole Buhay ProbinZSA team to Ilocos.

Our fun starts when we get to Forbidden City and Manong Gov greets us while feeding a couple of domesticated deer! He then tours us to our designated suite himself.

While Manong had his businesses to attend to, we took a bike ride along the coastal road and headed for the beach of San Esteban. We snorkeled in the calm waters of their protected beach and got to appreciate marine life.

For added fun, we challenged our very own Buhay ProbinZSA teammates to a seafood raw eating contest! We wanted you all to see how much fun we have off camera so we put these guys to the test. Who will you cheer for- LJ, Christian or Dexter?

We then head back to Vigan to visit Baluarte with Manong Chavit. It was my first time to see giraffes up close and what a rare opportunity it was to feed them! We also got close to their majestic white lion! I was amazed by the roaring sound it makes! We were also introduced to a menagerie of their zoo animals and we got to visit the Baluarte Museum.

To end the day, we toured their latest hotel- The Safari Hotel and Villas. And we spent time in their industrial kitchen ‘coz we asked Manong Chavit to share with us his recipe for Kalderetang Kambing, which he cooked for us himself! What a feast we had!
