Teenage pregnancy is a growing public health issue in South Africa and often associated with adverse outcomes and socioeconomic complications. At Empangeni Hospital in KwaZulu-Natal, the rate of teenage pregnancy was found to be higher than the national average. This prevalence is an onset of many other related problems.
