Grand Theft Auto IV follows the story of Niko Bellic; Before the events of the game, he fought in the Bosnian War as a teenager, was betrayed by one of the members (which got most of the squad killed) and is now obsessed with getting revenge. After fighting in the war, bad circumstances led him to work for Ray Bulgarin in human trafficking, which ended with Niko being blamed for a sinking ship and leaving Europe to escape Bulgarin's wrath and power. RANDOM CHARACTERS
Random Characters are side-missions for multiple characters in Grand Theft Auto IV, often providing the player with a small bonus mission or objective

Their presence is indicated by a small blue person icon on the radar, either male Blips-GTAIV-Male-Blue or female Blips-GTAIV-Female-Blue , identified as a Friend on the in-game map, but only when within close proximity to the player. They provide Niko Bellic with small missions. They generally are in some problem and will ask for help.

The availability of certain Random Characters depends on the player's choice in the storyline missions – targets who can be optionally spared may appear as a Random Character in the future. In both cases, their specific missable missions are not required for 100% Completion.

After completing a first encounter, the player must wait from several in-game days to a week to trigger the second/third encounter (if available). To fast-forward in-game time, the player may use a safehouse and save the game multiple times.

After completing the first encounter for every Random Character (except the missable ones), the achievement/trophy "No More Strangers" will be unlocked. Completing all necessary Random Character missions contributes 5% towards 100% completion
