The Niagara Parks Power Station offers a unique nighttime light and sound show called "Currents: Niagara's Power Transformed." The immersive experience uses reactive media, projections, and sound to tell the story of the power station and how it harnessed the power of the Niagara River. The show highlights the history and architecture of the 115-year-old building, bringing the massive machinery to life with light and sound effects.
Separate from the Power Station show, the Niagara Falls themselves are illuminated nightly in a changing display of colors. The nightly illumination of the falls is a longstanding tradition, with hundreds of LED lights shining from different locations across the gorge to create a multi-colored spectacle. This display is a separate event from the "Currents" show and can be seen for free from various viewing points.
