As most Western Occultism's central schema, the Tree of Life conveys Qabalah's ageless wisdom. The diagram depicts the universal manifestation reflected in the human being and has several classifications. While that includes triangles, worlds, and pillars, its 10 circles are more apparent. Called 'Sephiroth,' the plural for 'sephirah,' or Sphere, these are regarded as 'divine emanations.' Linked by the 22 paths, the 10 Sephiroth overflow from one to another. Macrocosmically, they represent the successive phases of evolution. Microcosmically, the ten Sephiroth stand for different levels of consciousness. This short discusses the Kether as the precursor to consciousness.
