On the very first of our Kolkata to Tripura bike trip, the plan was to reach Siliguri with our beloved RE Hunter 350 bike covering a distance of around 590 km. However, due to some unexpected sickness we had to end the day's journey at Raiganj (at a distance of 414 km). Kolkata to Siliguri bike ride we have done several times. But this time we decided to take the route via Nabadweep and not via Burdwan or Barasat. So till Krishnanagar it was a new route to us. The route was like Dakshineshwar - Dankuni - Kalna - Dhatrigram - Hematpur - Nabadweep - Krishnanagar - then following the familiar NH 34 to Debagram - Plassi - Beldanga - Berhampur - Morgram - Farakka - Malda - itahar - Raiganj. The road conditions are described in detail in the video. It might not be a grand beginning of the 12 day's journey. But the trip was a success. Specially riding through the offbeat roads of Tripura was some experience to remember. The next day we will start for Alipurduar and it would also be a day for reunion of old friends.
