This absolutely wonderful property was built at the end of the 18th century, created to celebrate the love story between the Marquis Silvio della Valle di Casanova,(poet & musician) and artist, Sophie Browne. Together they tenderly created “the garden of dreams”. The private chapel was tastefully transformed into a unique modern home of great charm. The fine garden areas are majestically inspired by the atmosphere of the adjoining Gardens of Villa Taranto, the most famous Italian botanical gardens, in Northern Italy.

The villa is located in the beautiful area of the Castagnola Promontory in the Piemonte region in Lago Maggiore, just north of the Borromeo Islands. The villa has the most alluring dreamy views encompassing the entire lake from north to south.

Pallanza is located in the Piemonte region, Stresa town (14 km) is a 20 minute drive away where you can find many fine shops, delicious restaurants and stunning lakeside prominades. Intra town (4 km) is a short drive away and offers the hop on car-ferry to reach Laveno Mombello in the Lombardy region.

The 3 bedroom waterfront villa is designed for those who enjoy a special secluded atmosphere amidst a warm aroma of botanical greenery, with splendid views of the lake and the comfort of access to a private harbour. Alfresco dining area complete with large outdoor kitchen facilities including BBQ carefully positioned on a platform extending over the lake with cascading wisteria providing shade during the hot summer months.
