In this step-by-step tutorial, we'll guide you through the process of setting up shared agents to run tests in parallel.

The Automation Agent is a program that executes tests. Shared agents, available to all users within an organization, can run playlists. An organization can have up to 20 self-hosted shared agents connected simultaneously.

Administrators are required to set up shared agents. If a private agent needs to be reconfigured as shared, it must be disconnected first. A private and a shared agent cannot run concurrently on the same machine.

Users can access and modify any file on a shared agent machine through their tests. Therefore, shared agents should only be installed on machines intended for testing, not personal machines.
