Sew a Quick Bread Bag for Gifting Homemade Bread

Описание к видео Sew a Quick Bread Bag for Gifting Homemade Bread

Learn how to sew a quick bread bag for gifting homemade bread. This sustainable, pretty, and useful project allows you to personalize your gift in a unique way! This is a beginner sewing project that uses very little fabric. You can use cotton or linen fabric with great results. I used a Michael Miller Quilting Cotton in the Atomic Cat print. If you want a similar sized bag cut two pieces of fabric 16 inches tall and 13 inches wide. the casing is formed by folding down the top 1/4 inch and then folding again by an inch. I like how stitching down the seam allowance on the sides makes a nice finished opening for your drawstring and there is nothing for your bodkin or safety pin to get caught in. the first side is easy to top stitch, for the second side just sew down as far as you can go. the main point of this step is so that the side seams stay flat where you thread your drawstring.

This is a 10 Minute sewing project, but if you are new to sewing or just want to take your time - that is fine too!
