We're going to shake things up. Like old times.

Alex strikes me as more of a tragic figure than a big bad. He genuinely cares about Morgan, or at least the "old" Morgan. Despite what he does to hinder your progress (deleting the video, trapping you in Deep Storage) and what he did to Morgan in the past (the apartment simulation), he never tries to stop you directly. For instance, Alex will let you activate the self-destruct ending in front of him, whereas January physically prevents you from activating the nullwave. Alex's motivation seems to be to get the "old" Morgan back, followed by preserving the research and the station, both of which Morgan used to care about.

I decided to try something new and incorporate entire conversations rather than just Alex's point of view. Otherwise some of the lines didn't make a lot of sense. To me, it was all or nothing. I also attempted to label most of them.

Main takeaways/tl;dw:
1. B. Wong uses a lot of long... meaningful... pauses... for dramatic effect. I decided to keep most of them in.
2. There are a few cut voice lines that would have made Alex more of a villain, such as making him responsible for shutting down the main lift (instead of a random typhon), ejecting Morgan from Deep Storage (instead of the player doing it to themselves), and calling Morgan an "asshole".
3. There was a cut sidequest where the player would need to reset the Magnetosphere (that one room in GUTS they made a big deal about and then never brought up again). Either Alex or January would guide you through this.
4. There are a few interactions they cover that probably never happen in the game, such as Alex reacting to the Nightmare's arrival and Alex getting grabbed by a mimic.
5. I covered this in another video, but there are some placeholder voice lines for Alex becoming mind-controlled by a telepath. However, these were all done by a different voice actor so I didn't include them here. (   • [Prey] Unused mind-controlled voicelines f...  )
