It is the eighth track of the second disc of the Clannad Original Soundtrack album. It was released on August 13, 2004, with the album, and was featured in the Clannad episode of the same name. The song was sung by Riya, with lyrics by Kai and music and arrangement by Magome Togoshi.

Two alternate versions of Two Shadows were released on the third disk of the Clannad OST album: Two Shadows (short version) and Two Shadows (off vocal version).
