It all began with Tom Walton’s vision for a 5-mile bike trail, now known as Phase 1 of the Slaughter Pen Trail. Both Tom and Stewart Walton executed this vision, creating a community asset that has reshaped the region. Progressive Trail Design played a crucial role in building the trail, ensuring it meets high standards.

Gary Vernon, much like a conductor, has been essential in executing and expanding this vision. His leadership has helped activate the trails, making them a vibrant part of the community. The bike trails have not only enhanced local recreation but also spurred economic growth and community engagement.
