This is a complete gameplay/walkthrough of Novalogic's Tachyon: The Fringe with all the included bonuses/loot.

Tachyon: The Fringe is the most underrated space combat simulation of its time. The graphics were superb, there were many different ships to fly, the story was compelling and had a branching point, the music was a perfect fit for a space game, and ships had a flight model that seemed realistic for space combat.

The highlight of this game, though, is Bruce Campbell's performance as Jake Logan. The King himself voiced the main character, and his performance stands above all the others by a long shot. While playing this game, I found myself laughing or simply enjoying Bruce's commentary for hours on end.

The only real tragedy about this game is that it wound up like the rest of Novalogic's games: on the shelf sold in a bundle. A sequel never happened. Fringespace attempted to remake the project in the Freespace2 engine, but progress on that stalled or halted almost completely. It's uncertain whether or when the project will ever be finished.
