About Dr. R.S. Bisht:
Dr. R. S. Bisht is a renowned Indian archaeologist and a leading expert on the Harappan civilization. Over a distinguished career spanning 35 years with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), he led major excavations at sites like Dholavira in Gujarat, Banawali in Haryana, Sanghol in Punjab, and Semthan in Jammu & Kashmir. His pioneering work at Dholavira, particularly on urban planning and water management, is considered groundbreaking in the study of the Indus Valley Civilization. Dr. Bisht also played a significant role in the conservation of historical monuments across India. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, he was awarded the Padma Shri.

Dr. Sanjay Kumar Manjul is a senior archaeologist and Joint Director General (Archaeology) with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). He is best known for leading the excavations at Rakhigarhi, a major Harappan site, and Sanauli in Uttar Pradesh, where he discovered the earliest known chariot burials in the Indian subcontinent, dating to around 2000 BCE. His groundbreaking work at Sanauli suggests the presence of a warrior culture contemporaneous with the Harappans, offering new insights into early Vedic society.
