The Tabla featured here is an innovative electronic creation by Mr. Kuljit Bhamra—a renowned Tablist, inventor, and entrepreneur based in the UK. This unique instrument was lovingly gifted to me by my sister, Mrs. Manjula Rajaram, who resides in Atlanta, USA, in celebration of my 60th birthday. She had it pre-ordered for me, and I received it in late October 2021. Thanks to her love and apt choice of a gift for the most appropriate occassion.

Initially, I used it only sparingly. However, it gained a special place in my heart when my dear friend and brotherly companion Arun visited me in New Jersey during one of his concert tours. We took a short break in my home studio, and Arun, for the first time, laid his hands on this electronic Tabla.

What happened next was magical—within just five minutes, he transformed a casual moment into a mesmerizing rhythm. According to him, he had never played a Tabla before. Yet, he played with the finesse of a maestro. That, indeed, is divine talent—music flowing straight from the soul. Wonderful Aruna! Thanks for giving us this superb experience .
