Описание к видео Erin Enderlin feat. Terri Clark - If There Weren't So Many Damn Songs (official music video)

I can't tell you how much fun I had recording this video with my hero, 90s country legend, triple-threat Terri Clark! Wrote this one with my bud Kayla Ray. Hope you enjoy it half a much as we enjoyed making it.

Video producer/director: Ryan Nolan

Song description
“If There Weren’t So Many Damn Songs” is a jangly barroom romp about country music’s smirking bad influence on a heartache, barstool sitting, and cold beer. Like that one friend you know is gonna leave you with a hang-over, Enderlin’s lilting, black-label smooth approach has a way of convincing you - just one more drink, just stay for one more song. Sizzling fiddle and steel soak through the track while the percussion lays down a loose vibe bringing to mind a Willie Nelson live set. Terri Clark’s guest vocals slice through track like a Ginsu Knife through an orange wedge dropped into a heavy pour, two cherry old-fashioned, and counter Enderlin’s in a two for one celebration of the honky-tonk life.

Lyrics
If there weren’t so many songs bout a jukebox
I’d sing a new song most every day
No waltzes about him leavin’ oh the melodies they’d come freely
If there weren’t so many songs about a jukebox

And if there weren’t so many songs bout the bottle
Or the million ways I could drink him off my mind
I’d be bonafide and happy, straight laced and all but dry
if there weren’t so many songs about the bottle

Oh, and everything’s been said about the ways my heart’s breaking
And honky tonks were made for fools like me
Oh and I have no plans to change the ways I been living
It might be different if there weren’t so many songs bout a jukebox

If there weren’t so many songs bout a barroom
Bout the place I go to ease my wounded pride
No barmaid would no my name, I’d find other ways to kill the pain
If there weren’t so many songs bout a barroom

If there weren’t so many songs about a jukebox
If there weren’t so many bottles on that shelf
If they’re weren’t so many barrooms with barstool left wide open
I might learn to keep this heartache to myself

Oh, but everything’s been said about the ways my heart’s breaking
And honky tonks were made for fools like me
Oh and I have no plans to change the ways I been living
It might be different if there weren’t so many songs about a jukebox
I might be different if there weren’t so many songs about a jukebox
