Description: Junk Food is a Boom compatible Speedmapping Community Project held in Meowgi's Community Discord Server. The basic premise was to make "Junk Food" slaughter ala BFG spammy, high monster count maps where not a lot of time is spent deliberating about layout/detailing/fight design/other things that can bog a mapper down. It's just good BFG fun.
This project originally began as a solo endeavour, but I realized it would be a lot more fun to host it as a Community Project to see what others could come up with. There was only a 10 day period for maps to be submitted, with a limit of 3 maps per person. We managed to get to 69 maps within this timeframe, which far exceeded what I expected.
All maps feature an alternative style of difficulty balancing: Maps were designed primarily for UV, but feature only Imps and Lost Souls on HMP, and all health and armor bonuses are replaced with invulns on Easy difficulties. This hopefully will allow people who don't regularly engage in slaughter gameplay the option to approach the maps from another angle. Besides that, its simply fun to play on the lower difficulties.
