The story begins in the 21st century with Desmond Miles, who was captured by Abstergo industries, the modern-day face of the Templars. A friend helps him to escape the facility and hide. This friend helps him to uses a device called the Animus to relive the genetic memories of his Ancestor.

The place is set in Renaissance Italy from 1476 to 1499, it follows the journey of Ezio Auditore da Firenze, a young nobleman and one day everything changes - his family where setup by the Templars. Ezio help his mother and sister to hide from the Templars but his father and his Brothers were captured and went to prison.

Ezio Auditore da Firenze tried to save them and he was too late to save them and he witnessed the execution of his father and brothers, and now Ezio seeks revenge against the Templars who murdered his family, uncovering a vast conspiracy and Ezio becomes an Assassin, vowing to avenge his families deaths.
