Free Physical Therapy Camp was organized by the Department of Physical Therapy for stroke and cerebral palsy patients throughout the month of November. Patients visiting the hospital were given free consultations and treatment to recover from their conditions.

The most significant highlight of this camp was to create awareness among public that stroke patients can come back to normal living through the therapy.

Patient satisfaction rate was high, and they were happy to receive treatment plans.


Physical Therapy also known as physiotherapy is referred by WCPT (World Confederation for Physical Therapy) as a health care profession concerned with identifying and maximizing quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, treatment, intervention, habilitation and rehabilitation. The treatment may include exercises and stretches guided by professional physio therapist. Massage heat or cold therapy or ultrasound to relax the muscle pain or spasms. Rehabilitation may help the patients to learn the use of an artificial limb.


Physical therapists are autonomous health professionals who are responsible for developing, maintaining or restoring movement and functional ability throughout the lifespan using evidence-based practice. They relieve pain, treat and prevent physical conditions associated with injury, disease or other impairments. People consult physio therapist to ease the pain, movement and muscle function.
