IPOB Rejects Finland's Biafra Declaration as a Scam

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has publicly disassociated itself from a recent declaration of the Biafra Republic made by a Finland-based group. IPOB's spokesman, Emma Powerful, condemned the declaration as a scam, asserting that the individuals behind it are linked to the ongoing insecurity in Nigeria's South-East. He warned that their actions aim to destabilise the region and mislead Biafrans and their supporters. Furthermore, IPOB reiterated that the only legitimate declaration of Biafra was made by its late leader, Dim Ojukwu, in 1967, and called for a United Nations-supervised referendum to restore Biafran sovereignty.
