Dusty Tracks and Blue Skies: WABDR 2022 on KLR650 and KTM 890 Adventure R

In July 2022 my friend Ryland and I rode the Washing Backcountry Discover Route south to north over 4 days. I rode my 2007 KLR650 and Ryland was on his 2021 KTM 890 Adventure. I usually ride solo, but was lucky enough to have a great rider and better friend ride along with me. It was his first time ADV touring, so we decided to hotel it every night.

The ride was amazing with killer weather every day. Other than a few well known tough spots, the route is fairly easy for someone with some dirt experience. The jungle was definitely the most difficult part of the whole route, with a lot of exposure to be aware of.
