Can foreign businesses, post-COVID-19, continue to thrive in a country that on the one hand is responsible for such a large share of current and future economic growth, but on the other hand actively pursues policies of self-reliance?
And as the European public and politicians grow more critical of China's human rights record, will continuing to do business with China hurt their interests at home?
