The views of Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky about the current situation in Kashmir

#Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky expresses a great concern on Jammu and Kashmir crises. She said the Indian government decision to change the status of Jammu and Kashmir status created a dangerous crisis. She urged upon the U.S and U.N to play effective role to bring an end to the crises. Talking to the deligation she said Indian government conduct, especially building concentration camp and asking people to prove citizenship living there for generation is a very dangerous trend and it must be not allowed. She Said US Congress already scheduled a hearing on the situation of Jammu and Kashmir and she will support every step, which protects human rights and civil liberties. She said she was invited to meet Modi, but after knowing the stories of human rights violations, she decided not to participate. She said human rights and humans lives are more important for her then political or any other interest.
