*ingredients:

1/2 cup moong dal [ yellow]
1 cup rice
10 - 12 cashew nuts
1 green chilli
7 cup water
salt
1 tsp pepper crushed
1 tsp jeera
1 tsp turmeric
2 to 3 tbsp ghee
10 curry leaves
1 inch ginger crushed / grated
hing
coriander
1tbsp coconut / dry coconut


gojju :

2 to 3 sp oil
1 tsp mustard
hing
2 green chilli
curry leaves
1 inch ginger
1 small lemon size tamarind
1 tsp turmeric
2 tbsp jaggery
1 and half tbsp rasam powder
salt
1 tsp rice flour slurry


take moong dal and rice mix together and roast well till heated
wash dal and rice add 6 to 7 cup water along with
turmeric, green chilli , curry leaves salt, ginger
cook for 2 whistles
meanwhile prepare tempering
in small pan add 2 to 3 tbsp ghee add jeera nad crushed pepper
add hing and cashew nut fry till light brown
add curry leaves switch off
open cooker lid mix dal and rice
8 add tempering , 1 tbsp coconut ,coriander
serve with gojju

Gojju :
in a pan add 2 to 3 sp oil
add 1 tsp mustard , hing , curry leaves green chilli and ginger
now add tamarind extract add 1 cup water
bring to boil
add 1 tsp turmeric, 2 tbsp jaggery , 1 or 2 tbsp rasam powder
let it boil well
add salt and rice flour slurry
mix well simmer for another 5 min till thickens
once you get consistency , switch off and serve with huggi
