FLAMENCO PARA TUS OJOS - FLAMENCO FOR YOUR EYES

Diego Carrasco (Jerez de la Frontera, 1954). Guitarrista, cantante y compositor. El gurú del compás y su Family Band. Una de las leyendas vivas del flamenco, guitarrista de Camarón de la Isla o Lola Flores, compartiendo con los jóvenes gitanos del barrio de Santiago, Jerez.
Diego Carrasco cambió radicalmente su línea de trabajo, y empezó a experimentar con ritmos y a desarrollar su personal revolución del flamenco, siempre partiendo de una perfecta identificación con el cante más puro de Jerez.
Flamenco rítmico y surrealista.Y eso le ha valido ser conocido por sus "locuras rítmicas".

Singer-songwriter, improviser and composer, rhythm devil Carrasco is the absolute master of the compás (rhythms) of his native Jerez de la Frontera. His experiments, elusive style and original lyrics have made him a figurehead of the new flamenco, and have practically made him a guru to many young flamenco artists. Under his leadership a whole new generation of musicians is developing who, with tradition in their genes, are bringing flamenco to jazz, rock and pop. He plays with music like a wise child: spontaneous and free, without losing track of the essence. He really has the gift of the gab.
