Hey folks, in this film I'll be making a hard seltzer using shop bought fizzy cream soda pop. The recipe is very simple and involves pouring 4 litres of cream soda into a saucepan and bringing it to a simmer in order to nullify the preservatives that it contains. I then add 500g of dextrose monohydrate brewing sugar to the hot soda and let it dissolve. The liquid is then left to cool before adding into the fermenting vessel with some spring water, yeast and yeast nutrient.

The soda ferments and then is left to settle for 6 weeks before bottling. I leave it to condition for 3 months before opening. The cream soda hard seltzer is beautifully clear, but has a pungent chemical odour and is far too sweet, it retains the cream soda flavour, but is not a drink that I particularly like, in all likelihood it will go through the air still!
