Recording from the 2024 The Science of Consciousness meeting -- with gratitude to Stuart Hameroff, who curates and organizes the conference (and who gave me permission to share this video).

In this talk, Nobel laureate Sir Roger Penrose speaks about how retrocausality must somehow be a part of whatever version of quantum mechanics evolves. According to his line of thinking, there must be a gravitization of quantum mechanics -- rather than a "quantum gravity" model.

How does this relate to consciousness? He brings in Benjamin Libet's work on anticipatory physiology, which suggests that prior to conscious awareness of a decision, our brains have already made the unconscious decision.
