What you will need:

Ratchet
Screwdriver
Rag
Can of compressed air
Lubricant
Instructions:

Use a screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the ratchet together.
Carefully remove the ratchet's internal components.
Use a rag to wipe away any dirt, grime, or old grease.
Use a can of compressed air to blow away any remaining debris.
Apply a light coat of lubricant to all of the moving parts.
Reassemble the ratchet and test it out.
Your old ratchet should now be as good as new!
