I will show you how to quickly and perfectly restore damage to wooden floors and parquet yourself. I will teach you how to locally repair minor damage to a wooden floor without dismantling and unnecessary expenses. Wooden floors and parquet are in many homes. Wooden floors are expensive and look very beautiful. But over time, various damages appear on the surface (chips, dents, scratches, minor mechanical damage, etc.). Few people know how to restore it correctly. With the help of a simple local restoration technology, you can make your floor like new, without a single damage. For work, you will need restoration hard waxes and auxiliary tools (soldering iron, spatula, etc.). You can also purchase ready-made restoration kits with all the necessary materials. My video will be useful to anyone who wants to repair all the damage to the floor in their home themselves. It will also be useful to builders and craftsmen who are engaged in the production or installation of parquet and floors.
Work process:
First, clean and degrease the damaged area. To fill the damage, I use a restoration hard wax of the appropriate color. Before filling the waxes into the damage, they need to be melted. For melting, I use a gas soldering iron with a convenient metal tip. For the perfect shade selection, I use several colors of wax and mix them with a soldering iron. I apply the wax to the damage with a slight excess. After cooling, the restoration wax hardens and becomes strong. To level the surface and cut off the wax residues, I use a plastic spatula with teeth. The detailed structure of the wood can be restored with other shades of wax or retouched with restoration acrylic paints. Finally, the restored surface must be covered with a transparent protective varnish of the appropriate gloss, such as matte varnish, semi-matte, glossy, etc. I recommend using the restored surface 2 hours after restoration. All materials must crystallize as much as possible and gain strength. The restoration is complete! I hope you found my video helpful! Write in the comments your ways to eliminate such damage. I will be interested to read and learn more.
