TEXO's collaborative spirit shines bright on the Subsea Drilling Tower project, one of our largest endeavours of 2024 so far! This complex undertaking involved a seamless collaboration between six of our divisions, over three locations, truly embodying our "Together We Are One" philosophy.

The Subsea Drilling Tower project involved the seamless integration of expertise in Aberdeen, Dundee and Blyth from the following TEXO divisions:
Engineering and Fabrication
Port Services
Asset Integrity
DSI
Recruitment
Workspace Solutions

Currently standing at a remarkable 33.5 metres tall and weighing approximately 980 tonnes, the tower represents the base of the structure. An additional component, "The Crown," will be placed on top, bringing the total height to a staggering 38 metres.

Once the drill is integrated, the final structure is expected to weigh approximately 2,000 tonnes, making it the largest subsea drill of its kind in the world! This innovative drill boasts the capability of creating an 8.5m diameter hole in the seabed.
