Laserdance is an influential Italo disco project from the Netherlands, created in 1984 by producer Erik Van Vliet and composer Michiel Van Der Kuy. Renowned for their "Synthesizer dance" or "Spacesynth" style, Laserdance has left a significant mark on electronic music, especially in Europe during the 1980s. Their first album, Future Generation, released in 1987, was a huge success, selling around 150,000 copies. Iconic tracks such as "Goody's Return", "Powerrun" and "Humanoid Invasion" - just to name a few - cemented their legacy, inspiring generations of artists within the genre.
