In this video, we will show you the steps to root HyperOS via Magisk patched boot/init_boot file.

The general rule of thumb states that if your device came with Android 12 or older version out of the box, then you’ll have to use the boot.img file for rooting. Whereas if it came with Android 13 or higher version, then you’ll have to use the init_boot.img file for rooting.

However, there are a few exceptions to this rule, such as Poco F5, which comes with Android 13 out of the box but still uses the boot.img. Fortunately, there’s no element of confusion here as these types pf devices doesn’t even have the init_boot to become with. So in short :

-If your device came with Android 13 but it doesn’t have the init_boot file, then simply use the boot.img file.
-On the other hand, devices launched with Android 12 or older versions also wouldn’t have the init_boot, so they will also have to use the boot.img.
-But if your firmware has both the init_boot and boot and your device came with Android 13+, then use the init_boot file for root.
