Kelly Moran: Living Again | Manchester Collective

Kelly Moran isn’t one to shy away from emotions. Instead she ruminates, delves and ventures, and this is the result.

Commissioned and premiered by Manchester Collective, ‘Living Again’ is an exploration of connection in the face of grief. The Brooklyn-based composer and multi-instrumentalist drew from the recent news of the passing of her first love, who played cello alongside her in the school orchestra.

Listen out for the cello as it leads a quiet conversation with the electric guitar. Perhaps you can find a sense of solace in these tender passages and warm washes of sound.
