This video was produced as part of the Sustainable Southwest Beef Project, Funded by USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture, Agriculture and Food Research Initiative’s Sustainable Agricultural Systems (SAS) program. Grant #2019-69012-29853. Real-time data tipping bucket rain gauges are just one of a suite of technologies for ranch management being researched. Andrew Cox manages the Chihuahuan Desert Rangeland Research Center which is one of the ranches participating in the project as a testing ground for the technologies.
