Schaumburg is roughly 28 miles (45 km) northwest of the Chicago Loop.

Schaumburg is best known for its ever popular 2.2 million square feet "Woodfield Mall", which is the second most visited tourist attraction in Illinois.

In 2018 MONEY Magazine named Schaumburg "The Best Place to Live in Illinois". Also, Time Magazine included Schaumburg in the list of best places to live in America.
