I was binge watching one of my favorite content creator ‪@jaelofthevillage‬ videos and I saw that she made a cake, but it cracked and developed a dome. I decided to try the cake to see if I could figure out why the cake cracked and developed that dome. At first, I used a bigger pan than Jael used, but did the recipe the same way. Unfortunately the cake still cracked.

I did the cake a second time, but this time I put 1 teaspoon less of the baking powder. The dome didn't rise to high this time, but the cake still cracked. If you want to try the cake to help me solve this problem, I'll leave the recipe below. I ask that you bake in an 8 x 2.5 pan or 2 (8x2) pans. This time don't add the cocoa powder to the 1/2 of the batter like I did.
I'll try this cake again to try to figure out the problem. This is the last recipe for 2023. See you tomorrow in the new year with all new recipes.
