Take a bow, Huntington Beach! A classic Lexus US Open of Surfing Presented by Pacifico Finals Day witnessed Sawyer Lindblad and Levi Slawson etching their name into Surf City USA glory with a Southern California sweep.

A remarkable run toward her second US Open of Surfing win for Lindblad culminated in a battle with 14-year-old phenom Tya Zebrowski, who now sits at No. 1 on the rankings. Lindblad had to surge past former CTer Sophie McCulloch in the Quarterfinals before beating fellow 2026 CT requalifier Brisa Hennessy, etching her name alongside surfing icons with two US Open wins. Following suit, Levi Slawson put on a showcase throughout Finals Day starting with an all-Southern California clash with Kade Matson, and then former US Open winner Hiroto Ohhara. In a nail-biting fashion, Slawson completed his emotional victory toward his maiden Challenger Series win. Slawson now catapults to No. 4 on the rankings.

The Eero Top 5 Moments of the event included Ian Gouveia flying sky-high for a 9.00, a massive showing from HB’s own Kanoa Igarashi, and a standing ovation for Mateus Herdy’s ridiculous airshow. But sitting at the top, Lindblad and Slawson’s momentous wins to write more Southern California history into HB closed out the 2025 US Open of Surfing.

Now, the world’s top CT hopefuls take a breath before heading to Portugal’s beautiful scenery and wave-rich coastline for the Ericeira Pro starting September 29 through October 5.
