Today marks 20 years since the 7/7 London bombings. We remember the lives lost and the extraordinary response from our staff. Not only were vital blood supplies needed, but our tissues team colleagues were also called straight into action to prepare and supply crucial donor skin grafts for any of those injured who suffered serious traumatic injuries or burns. The response that day changed the way donor skin was stored and supplied for any future major events or incidents.

Staff like Lauren Roberts, a Tissue Bank Assistant, who was still fairly new to the organisation, having started in September 2004.
