So here's our quick guide to getting a smoother, closer and more comfortable shave every time. And avoiding all that nasty - and totally uneccessary razor rash.

Andy from King of Shaves shares his top tips, knowledge and experience on how to treat your face properly and get a great shave every time.

• First off, you need to make time - if you don't have time for a shave that day, don't have a shave that day!
• Wash and soak your stubble properly with warm water to open your pores and wet the hair - making it easier for the razor blade to cut.
• Massage in a good, low-foam shave prep (so you can see where you're shaving!), to help the razor the glide across your skin.
• Shave WITH the grain. If closeness is a problem, go across the grain. Never against it!
• Use cold water to close your pores and use a post-shave moisturiser to help trap in moisture and speed up your skin's natural recovery.
• Enjoy!
