A moment of history today on this video from Harnetty Railways.

As we see on her 1st revenue earning mainline run since Privatization in 1994 The Bahamas Locomotive Society's ex LMS Jubilee 45596 Bahamas From Oxenhope on The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway to Carlisle & back via The Settle & Carlisle.

My original plan was to go to Settle station the beginning of her climb up the long drag of The Settle & Carlisle. However a tree fell on the line north of Keighley round the Inkley area.

So it was decided to head straight to Carlisle to see Bahamas roll in which by this time she made up the half an hour she lost when she left Keighley that morning.

We end this video at Cumwhinton at the beginning of the climb towards Appleby as we see her on the return run back to The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway.

Now for my senior viewers this will bring back memories of the Jubilee's swansong when they were based at Leeds Holbeck depot when the class were regulars on The Settle & Carlisle in steam days.

Here we see 45596 Bahamas as she gets into her stride as she heads away from Carlisle.
