There was something up with the ground today because I was hearing things

Out at the old colonial cellar hole that is on the side of this mountain range I was out to do some metal detecting. I first had gone for a bit of a hike reading the landscape history to see of there were any other old places nearby. these old farmlands have been deserted for centuries and overgrown with forest. So with my Fisher F19 metal detector again on this trip I was able to hear a lot more nail iron in the ground left over from where the house once was back in the 1700s. Last trip was pretty quiet so this was good. I found that by dragging my coil right on the ground and kicking leaves and brush aside I could just barley lock on to the relics. The ground conditions at this old site are just different than the normal for whatever reason. I eded up finding some buttons, cufflink and shoe buckle frame. This old place had been deserted before 1800s judging by the artifacts we have dug up here. The lesson for the day is go back to the places you metal detect because the ground conditions can change depending on the temperature and moisture.
