Nui Nui- An Explosion of Orange and Tropical Spices

Today we are making the Nui Nui cocktail that was invented in the 1930s by Don the Beachcomber. It is one of my favorite cocktails ever and it is an explosion of orange flavors and tropical spice! This is the original spec from Beachbum Berry's Sippin Safari.

Nui Nui
1/2oz Lime Juice
1/2oz Orange Juice
1/4oz Cinnamon Syrup(2:1)
1/4oz Dons Spices No.2( I use 1/2oz to up the tropical spice kick)
2oz Golden Virgin Islands Rum(Cruzan Aged Dark)
1 Dash Angostura Bitters

Build in a shaker or drink mixer tin. Add 6oz of crushed/pebble ice. Flash blend for 5 seconds or shake until desired level of dilution. Open pour into a collins glass(12oz glass). Top with more crushed ice and garnish with a spiraled orange peel.
