Tasting HAMPDEN ESTATE'S Entire Core Range: 8 year, HLCF Classic, Pagos, & Great House 2023

Have I mentioned that I love Hampden Estate? Let's cut straight to the chase, in this video I tasted all 4 of the rums in Hampden's core range and here's info about each of them.

Hampden Estate 8 year (46% ABV)
- $70
- Wild fermented from molasses ("very high" esters)
- Double retort distilled
- Aged tropically for 8 years

Hampden Estate HLCF Classic (60% ABV)
- $80-85
- Wild fermented for 7 days from molasses with low quantities of cane juice vinegar, dunder, & muck (HLCF mark)
- Double retort distilled
- Tropically aged for 4 years (4-year-old Rum Fire)
- Total congener concentration = 3606.9 g/hlpa
- Total ester concentration = 476.9 g/hlpa

Hampden Estate Pagos (52% ABV)
- $75-90
- Wild fermented from molasses
- Double retort distilled
- Aged in 100% ex-sherry butts (Bodegas Fundador)
- Total ester concentration = 467.9 g/hlpa

Hampden Estate Great House 2023 (57% ABV)
- $110+
- Wild fermented from molasses
- Double retort distilled
- Aged tropically in ex-bourbon barrels
