We talk a bit about how we trained our goats to respect the portable electric fence. The process of training goats to stay in a paddock made using poly braid or polywire reels and step in posts is fairly simple. You need a secure training lot where the animals can't run through the wire, and a good electric fence charger and grounding system. Keeping them well fed helps prevent incidents as they get conditioned to respecting the temporary electric fencing wires.
