A lot more diversity this time around and a few more actual defects caught. I also managed to record some of the more older defect detectors like the Devtronics SCAT, Harmon Cyberscan 2000, and Harmon Model 75. Some very close to when they were replaced.
I also managed to include a few of the SmartSCAN IS models with the female voice that Southern Technologies used. A very select few might be aware of this but that voices of the male and female STC detectors is a husband and wife duo. Paul and Lynda Shenefield who worked together in Southern Technologies Corporation. No big voice actors or actresses were used in the making of any of these.
The most popular detector I'd seen so far is the Progress Rail MicroHBD with the Randy Goyer voice but the new STC SmartSCAN NG2 is also starting to makes its way into a lot of railroads in the east so the new computer voice will start to become more common around NS and CSX lines specfically. I sadly have missed a lot of older detectors as CSX has been swooping through its lines left and right to replace older Cyberscan 2000s and Devtronics detectors. Now it's nothing but MicroHBDs, SmartSCAN NG2's and their own custom Wheel Impact Detectors which also have a female voice.
