On 11AM March 25th, 1975, the Lyon sisters – 12-year-old Sheila and 10-year-old Kate, headed over to Wheaton Plaza Shopping Mall, Washington D.C They wanted to check out the Easter decorations, get some pizza, and meet up with some friends from school.

The Lyon sisters never came home.

For weeks, the police searched high and low but turned up nothing. They interviewed countless witnesses, searched the woods, and even shimmied down storm drains and ponds, searching for leads

But with no trace of them anywhere the case went cold. It seemed like their disappearance would remain a mystery forever.
